Gainesville Sun Reports Location of Illegal Immigrant -- Who is Not Arrested

According to the Gainesville Sun, Live Oak Police Officer Alfredo Moreno "interpreted for Pastor Santos, a 28-year-old Live Oak man from Guatemala who is in the country illegally. Santos told the officer that some illegal immigrants don't cooperate with police because they believe they're not treated the same as legal residents."(1)

Hers we have an illegal immigrant living openly in Live Oak. Why is he allowed to do so? If he is illegal, Pastor Santos is here in violation of our laws. He needs to be deported.

That Spirit Station on the Micanopy Exit...

I've been trying to keep an eye on the price of regular gasoline at the Spirit station on the Micanopy I-75 exit since my last post.(1) Oddly, not long after that post was put out, their sign disappeared. It has not yet reappeared, but they have a make-shift sign on the ground with a posted price of $2.87 -- this is more than 10 cents cheaper than the other stations there. I wonder why they suddenly changed their pricing behavior after more than a year of keeping their price comparable to the other stations at that exit?
